Deeper Days - February 2007

The chef am I...

It's Troy’s dads birthday in a few days, so i thought I would make him a cake. However, when I rang to ask what sort of cake he likes, the answer was that he does not eat cake and to instead make an apple pie. Well, away I went to make the pastry. I am starting to think that perhaps it is time to get those glasses I have been meaning to get for a year, because instead of reading 1/2 a cup of sugar I read 1 AND a 1/2... needless to say I have some very sweet pastry in the fridge that I'm not even sure is useable.

If anyone has any suggestions about what to do, I would love to know.
